Top 3: Phil Ringer [Centre] Peter Addison & Mark Fox
Makins final – At long last the Great British summer gave us a day to be proud of. The weather dry and warm with slight breeze. Weights were not expected to be high with a week long of rain and cold nights.
Weights were close and the result was not as clear cut as it was thought at the start of the match. Congratulations to the over all winner Phil Ringer with 105lb 4oz taken from lake 4 peg 25. Picking up the £5000 first prize. Phil took an all carp haul caught on the method feeder with micro pellets round the feeder and hair rigged pellet on the hook.
In second place and just one fish behind the winner was the unlucky Peter Addison with 99lb 10oz taken from lake 4 peg 7. Peter caught the bulk of his fish on the pole down the margins, fishing paste hook bait and feeding pellets and hemp.
In 3rd place and again only one fish in it was Mark Fox with 98lb - Marks fish being mainly taken on the method feeder.
