CC Moore & Co Ltd

Hellraiser Hookbaits & Booster Dips

CC Moore already have a big standing in the bait market, and the company's dedicated hookbait range are rapidly finding a place in anglers bait buckets all over Europe and the UK. Not willing to sit back on their laurels, the guys at CC Moore have improved their pop-up mixes and developed a range of hi-viz pop-up hookbaits in a small range of flavours that have proved themselves effective during testing.

The Hellraiser hookbaits are formulated from the impressive CC Moore pop-up mix, blended with hi-viz colours and offer a superb nutritional profile and an attraction level that is up there with the very best of alternative hookbaits. The attractors have been thought out and tweaked to give the optimum performance in both very cold water as well as warmer conditions.  The attractor profile is made up of very high levels of N-Butyric Acid, Betaine and CC Moore's own specially selected concentrated flavours. The hi-viz colourants used in the baits will not wash out after prolonged periods immersed in water and are perfect for both conventional popup presentations as well as for zig work. The formulation of the popup mix used allows for the baits to be trimmed to suit without taking on water quickly - something that some other popups can suffer from - as well as being easy for the angler to do so due to the soft and spongy texture. I know I am not alone in saying that some popups are a nightmare to trim down as they are quite hard in texture and the last thing that an angler wants on the bank is to be dealing with cut fingers due to slippage. With the Hellraisers such worry's are a distant memory.

To accompany the Hellraiser hookbaits, CC Moore have also formulated Booster Dips in the same flavours (and colours) as the hookbaits. The Booster Dips are a highly concentrated blend of the attractors and appetite stimulants, to perfectly compliment the Hellraiser's. The Booster Dips are also PVA Friendly and during tests with the liquids and a quick melt PVA mesh, the mesh took on the colour of the Booster Dip as and soaked up the liquid without losing its shape or melting. A quick dip in some warm water showed the PVA to melt away a fraction of a second slower than the uncoated material. This is something that a lot of anglers will appreciate, especially in the winter months where attraction levels are required without feeding the fish.

The Hellraiser hookbaits are available in the following flavours (colours); Peach & Black Pepper (black), Acid Pear Drop (orange), Blue Squid (Light Blue), Chocolate Lime (Green), Cranberry & Black (Light Purple), Fruity Plum (Purple), Pineapple (Yellow), Sweet Cream (White) and Strawberry Ice Cream (Pink). All the Hell Raisers are available in sizes 12mm (45 baits), 14mm (35 baits), 16mm (30 baits) and Dumbells (40 baits) with a RRP of £5.49, with selection of the flavours also available in 10mm (40 baits) and 18mm (25 baits) as well which are priced at £3.00

The Booster Dips are available in all flavours and are supplied in 125ml bottles, priced at £5.99.

Final Thoughts

CC Moore have obviously put a lot of time and thought into producing the Hellraiser hookbaits and booster dips, and have developed flavours that stand out from other products on the market. I would always rather use a "real" bait than an artifical bait when fishing zigs (purely personal preference), and after putting the Hell Raisers through the bench tests, I know that these will be getting a lot of use in the next few months for my zig work. These will also be getting put through their paces fully over the autumn and winter as well where a visual high attraction bait seems to be what works best. The Booster Dips will also be playing a big part in my fishing during the colder months or where the venue is showing some pressure from other anglers, as I know that I will be the only person on the venue using these baits - that is unless I tell the other anglers or they read this!
