DT Bait Development

Dumbell Hookers

First Impressions

Dumbell hookers have now well and truly established there place in the bait arsenals of the majority of carp and specimen angler. This pellet shaped boillie style hook bait is perfectly designed to fool cautious fish that have learned to associate conventional round hook baits with danger. Although originally designed with carp in mind they found favour amongst the bream and tench angling crowds, as well as producing excellent results for anglers targeting chub and barbel on rivers. I have even heard rumours about match anglers now using these versatile baits on big commercial waters where single hook baits on the straight lead was the order of the day in cold water conditions.

Latest additions to the Dumbell Hookers crowd are these flavoursome offerings from DT Baits. They offer five different flavours in the range Pukka Fish/Oily Chicken, Pukka Fish/Green Beast, Fish n Blood/Fresh Orange, Cold Water/Green Beast and N-Blend (My personal favourite). Each of the flavour in the range are made from exactly the same quality of ingredients that DT Baits use in the production of their freezer bait ranges ensuring perfect compatibility with the existing boillie and Stick Mix ranges. The DT Baits Dumbell Hookers are ideal for all hair rig presentations including bayonet and all other screw or push in bait attachments. They also work perfectly well when banded or lassoed for pellet waggler style presentations.

Final Thoughts

I’m a fond believer in trying something different to try and make things happen when I’m on the bank and these Dumbell Hookers from DT Baits give you that option. They are a versatile hook bait option and have the right flavours and colours that simply scream fish. You get ninety hook baits per pot on average and they will be available from your local stockist for around the £6.25 mark, which works out at about 7p per hook bait, which these days is superb value for money.

Over the next few weeks we will be having a play with these latest offering from DT Baits so watch this space for our field test results. Until then click on the banner below for more information on the DT Baits range.
