With the colder months and unsettled weather conditions becoming norm, this is the time of year that a minimal baiting campaign is necessary to stand any chance of catching fish of any size but especially the big ‘uns. Ask any angler in the know and he will tell you that one of the most successful approaches for this time of year is the single hookbait with minimal feed. Both pop ups and bottom baits have there place but some times these tried and tested winter tactics still struggle to entice a take from fish that are in all honesty not really interested in feeding in the first place.

To add another string to your bow, the Dynamite Baits design team have spent the past couple of years developing the Terry Hearn 50/50 Big Carp Baits. These totally new products offer the same balanced presentation you would get from a snowman rig but you no longer require two baits on your hair. By manufacturing a boillie from 50% bottom bait and 50% food bait pop-up, these latest offerings give the angler a hookbait with identical flavour release as a standard boillie but you now have a balanced Hookbait that has been designed to catch the wariest of carp.

There are currently five flavour options and combinations available in the new for 2011/2012 Terry Hearn 50/50 Big Carp Baits range, these are; The Source, which has a light brown top with a dark brown bottom giving a slightly different appearance to the standard Source boillies. This critically acclaimed flavour has already established it’s self in the carp halls of fame as being one of the most productive baits of the past decade. The next option is the Red Fish which has a light red top and a dark red bottom that carries the distinctive rich fish aroma.

If you like to mix things up a little bit, Dynamite have put together three unique colour and flavour combinations for you to try out. First up is the Chocolate Malt, this has an orange top with a brown bottom that offers a very subtle aroma. The Robin Red & Tutti Frutti incorporates an orange top and red bottom and to be honest stinks to high heaven but you know fish will love it. My personal favourite from the range are the Tiger Nut & Banana, these have a light yellow top with a dark yellow bottom and they smell absolutely gorgeous.

First Impressions

Trying to find a bait presentation that is totally unique for any manufacturer is a near impossible task these days but Dynamite have taken an existing presentation and combined the two elements to produce a boillie that is truly 50% Pop Up and 50% bottom bait.
