Mainline Baits
Additives & Oils

Using additives and oils to enhancing baits that are an already proven fish attractor is common place in carp, specialist and commercial match fishing circles. Get this formula right and you can seriously improve you potentials of catching fish of all species especially carp. To assist in the eternal quest for that additives or oils that can make a difference, Mainline Baits have four totally different options that can be used in all aspects of particle preparation and boilie production.

Fosoil is fish oil originally designed for the fish farming industry to be used as a coating for feed pellets and its purpose is to induce feeding. When this honey coloured heavy liquid is added to all fishmeal based boilies mixes at 5ml per egg and particles to a measure of 20ml per kilo the results speak for themselves. I found the bigger match carp on commercial fisheries totally adored this when used as a dip on corn, hard pellet, meat, casters and maggots when I first discovered the benefits of using Fosoil around 8 years ago.

Rob Marsh TOP TIP -I have used Fosoil for many years as a particle rub and as a way of creating a slick around particles and stick mixes. I find to get an even coating of Fosoil over your pellet, particle and groundbaits. Simply place the required amount of feed you need for the session into a bucket. Then add the Fosoil by pouring it onto your hands and rub the feed through your hands mixing at the same time to ensure that all particles get a good coating. Do this a few hours before you intend on starting your session for the best results”.

Meta-Mino is an amino-based compound and feed inducing agent that can be used in any type of bait. This near black in colour thick liquid has a slightly meaty aroma that is very similar to oxo cubes with a slight sweat fishy undertone. This near neutral smell and taste has created a huge following as it will not alter the smell of finished baits it is used in-conjunction with. Instead, it enhances the bait and produces a high leakage rate in water to aid attraction, making it ideal for use as a hook bait dip all year round.

Derek “The Don” Ritchie TOP TIP – “Particles feeds especially hemp, have played a major part in my angling over the years and enhancing the all round attraction and performance of these particles is critical when baiting an area. The attractant boost that the Meta-Mino releases into the water work perfectly with any particle or flavour you choose to use. Most importantly, you don’t have to alter your feed preparation to the seasons as the Meta-Mino is a bait booster that has proven to produce excellent results for me all year round”.

Multi-Stim is described the powers that be at mainline as being a “unique and powerful feed triggering agent” that can be used in conjunction with Meta-Mino or on its own in any type of bait production. The Multi-Stim is purple in colour and carries a very subtle berry aroma that I personally have great success with in autumnal angling situations. Being water-soluble it will aid attraction in all temperatures can be used on its own or mixed with other flavours to create a dip for the colder months.

Hempseed Oil is arguably one of the best and most regularly used natural attractors to attract virtually every no predatory species of coarse fish that swims in all fresh water systems in the United Kingdom. This rich green oil has a nutty aroma contains all the essential omega and amino acids that fish simply adore. Hemp Oil is ideal for glugging and coating all particles, hookbaits and groundbaits. Plus if added to most particles cooked in water once fully drained off, it assists in making the particles PVA friendly.
