Invitations for the roles of Chairman and Secretary of the North West Freshwater Forum

Angling Trust members in the North West are invited to volunteer for the roles of Chairman and Secretary of the North West Freshwater Forum. This forum, which is attended by around 40 members and representatives of clubs, consultatives, fisheries and river associations, meets on a quarterly basis to discuss issues relating to angling and fisheries in the North West of England and to advise the Angling Trust on its freshwater policy.

The Chairman of the Forum will act as an honorary Angling Trust representative in the region and will have a seat on the Angling Trust's national Freshwater Committee. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who ideally has a good knowledge of fisheries and angling issues and the organisations involved in these areas in the North West.

The Secretary of the Forum will administer the meetings, record the minutes and liaise with Angling Trust HQ to send out notices of meetings to members.

Both these posts are voluntary and at present no expenses can be paid apart from travel expenses for attending national Freshwater Committee meetings and other agreed expenditure.

Nominations are invited, which should include a 300 word summary of the nominees' experience in these areas and the reasons why they are keen to volunteer.
