New Sister Event For The BCAC

UKMA have recieved information on a new event organised by the BCAC (British Carp Angling Championships). The UK Carp Cup will be run in a similar vein to the BCAC team event, but geared towards individuals.

The BCAC have provided us with the below Press Release:

"We can keep it a secret no longer, after months in the planning; we are delighted to announce that due to phenomenal demand we are launching a brand new competition for the UK carp scene.

The UK Carp Cup will take place this year with 20 qualifying venues throughout the country to choose from. There will be 10 anglers in each qualifier and the top 2 from each will go though to our semi final weekend spectacular where 40 anglers will battle it out across Brasenose 1 & 2 on 23,24,25 September.

The finals will take place on the weekend of 14,15,16 October on Oxlease, again part of the fantastic Richworth Linear Fisheries complex in Oxfordshire.

The big difference from the BCAC is that the competition is open for single anglers (and we don’t just mean those without a better half). Individual anglers, using three rods, can enter the UK Carp Cup for £175 and the winner takes the title of UK Carp Cup Champion plus a cheque for £5,000!
We expect places to go very quickly (there are only 200) so if you are interested, log onto http://www.carpcup.co.uk/ and leave your name and email – as soon as we launch (which will be later this month) we will email anyone who has registered on the site before anyone else.
