Tragedy As Young Angler Dies

UKMA were shocked to here the sad news that a young angler died on the bank whilst fishing in the storms at the weekend. The 16 angler was pulled from a pool at Moreton Fisheries, near Congleton, on Saturday Afternoon.

David Moss from Knypersley, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, but the hospital staff were unable to save him. UKMA have been informed that prior to the incident David called one of his friends and he informed them he was feeling unwell. Police and emergency services were called to Moreton Fisheries following a report a teenage boy found in the water in need of urgent medical attention.

The Cheshire Police have launched an appeal for information to piece together the teenager’s final moments.

On behalf of all the team at UKMA and our associated websites we would like to send our sincerest condolences to David’s family and friends at this very sad time.

RIP David Moss
