Ed Betteridge lands a 44.14 Mirror!
Greys Academy member Ed Betteridge has landed a lovely 44lb mirror.
Fishing on Christchurch Lake in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Ed managed to land the 44lb 14oz fish which goes by the name of Poolies.
Ed said ; "I have really want to catch Poolies ever since I saw a photo of it and then when I netted it for a mate in March and saw it in the flesh it became a higher priority on my wish list. Its unique scale pattern from its big plated linear scales to the small pearly scales on its flank and dark colouration make a special fish to catch"
