Lockey strikes again, 27 times in a week actually!

Solar Tackle boss Martin “Lucky” Locke returned to the 110 acre angling Mecca Rainbow Lakes, near Bordeaux in France, the venue were he smashed the World Carp Record earlier this years. Lucky fished peg 19 on a planned seven night trip that turned into a session that many of us mere mortals can only fantasize about. During the session Martin landed 27 fish in total, which included 25 fish over 30lb. The Kent based anglers massive haul also included 9 x40’s, a 53 lb Mirror, 2 x Common’s that rocked the scales at 56lb and 57lb. With the fish of the session being an impressive 64lb 12oz Mirror, taken on the Solar Tackle Club Boillie..

UKMA asked Martin what was the purpose of the trip? To which he replied “we are here to find out how well the new Chinese Take-away boilies performed along side the already proven Club boilies and both baits caught their fair share of fish, performing on a par. We are delighted with the new boillies and they should be available to the general public by early spring 2011”.

We then asked Lockey what makes you keep going back to the Rainbow? And he said “many people ask me this same question and to be honest I don’t understand why I go there myself anymore” was the reply (through fits of laughter)
