Pallatrax Newsletter

November 2011

Another fantastic month at Pallatrax; big fish continue to fall to our baits, especially the mighty Jungle!! Leading the way is Andy Edwards who has been a regular on the Linch Hill complex in Oxfordshire.....Andy has been doing well for a number of months now on a venue where a few fish in a season is considered a success; Andy has had well over 40 fish including this latest capture which hit the scales at an incredible 42lbs 8ozs! ‘The Scar’ picked up a tiny 10mm Jungle Squab bait which was presented within a pva bag of crushed Jungle boilies and cast around 5o yards into a bed of silt. A very short 2” hooklink on a 4oz lead meant that the rig was buried and had to be found, so it just shows the pulling power of Jungle!

Andy is just one of a raft of anglers hitting the headlines in the angling press this month; Young star Luca de Michele featured on the cover of national weekly Angler’s Mail with a cracking 3lbs 6oz perch taken on floatfished lobworm which had been soaked in Pallatrax ‘Naturals’ Earthworm dip. The big stripey came after a move on the Grand Union Canal in Daventry and was a worthy cover shot, although it has already been seen in last month’s newsletter.

Also making the front pages was Jack Shurety who featured on the cover of Carp-Talk magazine with a stunning shot of a carp taken from Drayton Reservoir in Northamptonshire. Not only did Jack make the cover, he also won the ‘Young Star of the Month’ competition and walked away with a load of Wychwood goodies!

On the rivers, Luke Ayling and Jez Brown recently visited the lovely river Test to share a bag of fish taken on Pallatrax tinned Naturals. The two anglers caught roach, sea trout, dace, chub and perch whilst trotting baits under the float in cool conditions and even managed a picture with respected angler Bob James!

Ryan Lippitt is also doing well on the middle reaches of the Severn; Ryan fished over big beds of ‘Red Band’ and presented Pallatrax Crave and Jungle baits to bag mid double river carp and ten bream to over 8lbs!

I’m also very pleased to announce yet more new retailers who now stock an extensive range of Pallatrax products; Atomic Baits & Tackle (www.atomicbaits.net) are a Northwich, Cheshire unit sited just off Daisybank Rd in the town. I spoke with owner Bill Frame this week who has told us how happy he is to get quality products at the right price; hopefully Pallatrax now has a bigger foothold in the North West and others will soon follow... Also joining the ‘Pallatrax Posse’ and stocking our products is Tommer’s Tackle, based in Ferryhill, County Durham. You can find out more about them by visiting www.tommerstackle.com or calling them on 01740656773.

Finally for this month, just a reminder that you can ‘follow’ Pallatrax on Twitter @pallatraxuk or get involved on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pallatrax.
