Steve Lilley Joins Richworth

Bait Giant Richworth have invited unknown but prolific Carp angler Steve Lilley to join their Field Testers team.

Steve has been fishing weekends only for the past seven years and has been producing results that full time anglers would be proud of. In the past twelve months alone Steve has banked an impressive twenty three 30’s and four 40’s from different venues including club and syndicate waters.

Richworth’s Pete Wilson added, “We had heard about Steve catching on our baits and with the results he’s been having from some difficult waters and only fishing weekends proves he’s a quality angler, Steve will be working with what is one of the best consultant teams in carp fishing, to help develop the new products that we have in the pipeline.”

Steve was surprised but very excited by the offer,” I have always read the magazines and often thought it would be great to be a sponsored angler, but never imagined it would happen to an unknown angler like me, so to get a call from a company like Richworth is a fantastic opportunity, I have been using their baits for years and they give me total confidence in my Carp fishing, they are the most famous bait company of them all and renowned for quality which definitely catches more fish, I can’t wait to get started”.

On Steve’s first session on the bank after joining Richworth his impressive form continued with an outstanding winter brace from Monk’s Pit syndicate water. Steve fished a two night session using the company’s famous Tutti Frutti  pop-ups in conjunction with Tutti soaked foam, fished on Zigs at various depths until he found the fish at about 6 feet.

After finding the fish Steve had three takes in two hours resulting in one hook pull and Mirrors of 17lb and 39lb 4oz. The successful set up was 15lb Trilene and size 8 Drennan Super Specialist hook, 16lb E.S.P mainline and Daiwa  Infinity 12ft 2.75tc rods.
