Tackle and Gun Trade Show
2011

On Sunday the 16th of October The UKMA team headed off to Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry in Warwickshire to visit annual Tackle and Gun trade show. On display you had some of the biggest names in the industry showing of there new wares for 2012 but because competition is so fierce for a share of the market place, many of the new products becoming available in 2012 were to our disappointment not on display. However, the ever growing army of brand names that now form Shimano Normark had a very impressive display of products from all areas of the sport, with many top name anglers on hand to offer professional advice and assistance.

The Preston Innovations Stand was also buzzing with Ian Day and Andy Findley offering advice on the SonuBaits area of the stand. The Match side of things was busy all day with Parkdean Masters Champion 2011 Des Shipp controlling the very busy Preston Pole Alley, with Tom Pickering and several other top names in attendance to deal with the huge range of match equipment that this huge brand had on display. On the Avid Carp front, you had the ever happy to help Ian Russell showing the large number of retailers present around this ever growing range of carp products and accessories.

Hardy Greys & Chub were out in force with a superb across the board selection of product to cover all areas of fresh water angling, with a huge team of staff in attendance to cope with the constant flow of retailers visiting there area.

As per usual Nash Tackle had a very busy floor space with numerous new items on display. The PEG ONE range was drawing a lot of attention from the traders and on first impressions, Nash look like they have it sussed yet again for 2012.

Harrison Advanced Rods, Marukyu, Sonik Sports, Chapel Baits, Sensas, Trakker, Jack Pyke, LEEDA, PB Products from Holland and many others brands all had top products coming through in 2012.

I could carry on with this for hours but rather than bore you to death, UKMA team member Carl Sharp, assisted by his partner Liz Hicks on the camera, hosts a 47 minute video packed full of interviews and information, featuring all the top brands and a few new names that we felt had something to offer you the anglers. So with no further a do, we hope you enjoy this star packed introduction into what’s worth looking out for in 2012.
