Advance Carp Equipment

Discovery Hi-Visibility Marker Floats

Marker floats are with out question on of the most critical pieces of feature finding equipment you will need on your first visit to any venue and also essential for finding out what features you have in front of you. By carefully feeling around you can locate and identify patches of gravel, clay and silt as well as pinpointing bars and other underwater contours. These are areas that you should always consider locating, as they are automatically associate with carp and there movements. To get the best from your session always do your homework and map out your swim, time spent learning the environment will be rewarded with fish on the bank.

A great marker float option that has recently arrived at the UKMA doorstep is the Advanced Carp Equipment Discovery Hi-Visibility Marker Floats that are produced using a high impact resistant plastic with the swivel moulded into the bottom to prevent it from ever pulling out.

These extremely buoyant marker floats are sold in pairs which allow you to use two floats to mark the start and end of a feature for precise feature finding and visual recognition for baiting and casting purposes even on featureless waters.

Both floats are fitted with Orange vanes but you also get a spare Yellow and Black flight, for days when light conditions require a change.

First Impressions

I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and finish of the Discovery Hi-visibility Marker Floats. They are exceptionally buoyant and perform superbly, even in weediest of swims.

When releasing line from the spool of the reel, to register the depth of the water over any given feature, you could clearly see your line being pulled from the rod tip at speed by the buoyant plastic marker trying to find its way back to the lakes surface.

A very versatile Marker Float with the easy to change, screw fitting attachment, multi coloured sight vanes making visibility easy, even in poor light at long range.
