AGT Indicators

About a month ago, I was first introduced to the AGT range of indicators by the UKMA tech head. AGT are a small part time operation run by Andy Gutteridge who offers a low cost option within the bite indicator market. Andy has been an avid carp angler for over 20 years and decided he would try and offer the average carper a cheap standard bite indicator. This is a refreshing change in these times of financial doom and gloom.

Andy has put together a very nice range of indicators that will meet the requirements of the majority of you tackle tarts reading this review.

First off the peg you have the PTFE range of indicators which are available in virgin white. They are available in to diameters, 15mm and 12mm and can be either left solid or have holes drilled into them traffic light style. This enables the isotope inside to be seen by you and the fish but they look the nuts at night.

Secondly you have the comprehensive range of Coloured acrylic indicators. These are available in four different diameters: 6.4mm, 9.5mm, 12.7mm and 19mm. You then have two different acrylic options; firstly you have the transparent colour option which is available in Yellow, Green, Amber, Red, Blue, Purple and Clear. Then you have the Flourescent colour option which is available in Green, Orange, Pink/Red, Blue and Yellow. (All the colours subject to availability).

Last but not least are the “ORBZ”; these unique indicators are available in both PTFE and acrylic. They are as round as a football and just as entertaining to watch at night. I have used the Green Acrylic ORBZ and found them to be both practical and very entertaining at night with a green isotope fitted. If you are one of those many anglers who think that One Step Beyond, Castle Donnington 1992 should never have closed, then these indicators will be right up your street.     

                                                  
NOTE: The complete AGT range of indicators heads are compatible with the Solar and Matrix (and others that use the standard 2BA thread) chains, cords, butt hangers and line clips.

Andy produces a fine quality product for less money than you would pay for fish and chips. The threads are all good and the finished products definitely look the part.
