Atomic Tackle Camocan 5

Test of Time

Water is an essential item to the session angler and finding a suitable storage and transportation solution for it is no longer a problem with numerous companies now releasing there own branded water canisters. One canister that caught the eye of the UKMA team when it was released over 16 months ago is the Atomic Tackle Camocan 5. Unlike conventional camping style water canisters that are white in colour and stand out on the bank like a tourist in Trafalgar Square that we have all used in the past. The Camocan 5 as the name says is olive green in colour with a camouflage wrap round that makes it blend into the bank side surroundings.

It has been produced from specially chosen plastics that make it totally safe for storing water in for long periods of time. The secure, watertight and airtight screw cap top enables you to move the Camocan 5 around without any fear of water spillage and helps keep the water in a fit for human consumption condition. We, at UKMA, have after very long term use and abuse, found the Camocan 5 to be very strong, hard wearing and durable. I personally had one incident when water did leak from the lid over my sleeping bag whilst in transit but that was purely down to my own stupidity and nothing to do with the Camocan 5, I hadn’t tightened the lid correctly!!!

Final Thoughts

With over 40 sessions under its belt and after being thrown about in the back of my car and on the bank, the Camocan 5 still retains water and keeps it fresh whilst on the bank. For just £6.00 you can be assured that you can leave home with 5lt of water and you’ll still have it all with you when you arrive at the lake.  These camo canisters will appeal to the numerous tackle tarts reading this but most importantly they‘re a very practical and functional solution to water transportation that any session or overnight angler should really consider owning.
