"Catching Memories"

Anglers have been asking Jerry Hammond to when he was going to write a book, and for those anglers (and others!) Jerry has put pen to paper and written his first book about his angling career in "Catching Memories".

Those anglers that are familier with Jerry, will know that he is simply obsessed with carp fishing, and the reader will not be surprised at the dedication he puts into his angling that is described amongst the pages. "Catching Memories" is a collection of carping stories from Jerry and some of his friends which takes the reader from the banks of Hainault Park Lake in Essex where it all began at 12 years of age, through to the banks of CEMEX Angling's Sutton At Hone, Horton Church Lake, Yateley and other venues, right up to date with his phenomenal captures at Kevin Nash's Church Pool. Through the book, Jerry reveals triumphs and disasters described in his trademark frankness and complete honesty. In Jerry's world of angling, there is no need for anything but the complete truth.

Amongst the pages within the book, you can see that Jerry has a "wicked" sense of humour with some of the pranks he has pulled on his angling mates, and some of his best mates have written guest chapters including all the wind ups that Jerry has carried out on them.

Anglers that know Jerry, will also be aware of his other career as an extra for the Cinema and TV screens, and Jerry has also included several pages detailing his times on the set of productions such as Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Bloody Sunday and Band of Brothers. Something that no other carp angling book can boast is truthful inclusion of Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg amongst the pages!

In all, this book has it all within its 384 pages!
