Gardner Tackle Accessories Part One

Handle & Baiting Spoon

With the current trend towards lightening the load when on the bank, anglers are always on the look out for equipment that is practical and able to multi task. Two products that definitely fit into this category are the Gardner Tackle Handle and Baiting Spoon. Although primarily designed with bait distribution in mind, it has become very apparent that both the handle and Baiting Spoon have more to offer the angler than first meats the eye.

This adaptable 130cm long abbreviated handle is fitted with a 3/8" BSF standard thread that will accommodate most standard threads used in angling. Making the handle suitable as a short landing net handle on boats where traditional 6ft landing net handles can be awkward to move around in the confines of a boat. The handle is also handy as Bream net handle, especially when fishing on venues where the "snotties" are likely to take your hook bait and leave snot all over your precious carp net.

The handle comes into its own though when used in conjunction with the Gardner Baiting Spoon. This combination is perfectly designed for all close range, mass baiting with particles, boilies or balls of ground-bait and baiting up and placing rigs under marginal over-hanging vegetation and cover that you would normally find very difficult to fish under.

Final Thoughts

I felt I needed to have the Gardner Tackle Baiting Spoon and handle in my kit selection that badly, that I eventually went out and brought one (cheers Lewis) The handle can multi-tasks better than a room full of women (as we men know that takes some doing). The Baiting Spoon is brilliant for placing rigs and baits under over hanging vegetation as well as making a great spod and partial mixing tool. With the Handle costing only £9.99 and the Spoon costing just £6.99, these are two accessories that are affordable and now totally essential parts of my every session kit.
