I Fish For English Carp Apparel

IFFEC or" I Fish For English Carp" are making waves amongst the carp angling fraternity with their products that have been accepted well by those that refuse to fish for imported fish and choose to target the venues that hold true English bred fish. The political side of the sport is not something that should be entered into within this article, and their is nothing to stop those that do fish for carp regardless of where they originated from from also purchasing these products.

In this article, we will take a look at the t-shirts and beanie hats which IFFEC have kindly sent in for us to take a good look at.

After wearing and washing, it is time that we put our findings down in words for you to read.

In the range of T-Shirts, IFFEC have two styles. Both styles are made from 205GSM preshrunk 100% Cotton jersey fabric which have a seamless double needle collar, a taped neck and shoulder seam, double stitched waist and sleeve hems and have a surface finish that I can honesty say is one of the very best I have seen from a t-shirt - inside or outside of angling. To add comfort and to reduce creasing, the body has been constructed with a quarter turn. This quarter turn virtually eliminates the centre of the t-shirt from creasing up.

The Ultra T-Shirt (above) has an embroidered Carp which has been filled with the St Georges cross embroidered upon the left breast, and on the reverse has the same Carp logo with the company name embroidered alongside it in gold thread. The embroidery is first class and the t-shirts will not look out of place being worn casually away from the bank. The Ultra T-Shirt is available in Military Green, Chocolate, Black and also in Pink for the ladies that like to fish as well. The Ultra T-Shirts have a RRP of £13.99 each which for the quality of the garment and embroidery offers fantastic value for money.

The Original T-Shirt (pictured right) also has St Georges Flag embroidered on the left breast with "I Fish For" above and an embroidered common carp below. On the left sleeve an embroidered St Georges Flag is also present. The Original T-Shirt is available in Military Green or Black. The Original T-Shirt has an RRP of £9.99

The sizing for the T-Shirts is as good as any other clothing I have worn with the Large size more than ample for a loose fit on a 42" chest. The length of the garment is also just right for both wearing tucked or untucked.

IFFEC also manufacture two woollen knitted peaked beanie hats. Both hats are identical other than the embroidery.

The IFFEC Thermo Knitted Hat has the IFFEC St Georges Cross Carp embroidered on the front with IFFEC embroidered horizontally across the red section in gold. The IFFEC Thermo Knitted Hat is available in Black, Camo or Chocolate colours.

The Original Fish for English Thermo hat is available in a camo colouration and has "I Fish For" and a Common Carp embroidered on the front, with a St Georges Flag embroidered on the back.

Both of the hats are machine washable at 40C and the fabric has a fair bit of stretch within it so will fit all but the biggest of heads regardless if you are bald or have a huge mane of hair! The hats both have a RRP of £7.99 each.

Final Thoughts

I have both worn and washed the garments several times and there is no sign of shrinkage or discolouration of the fabric or embroidery. As I have already mentioned, the quality of the garments is top notch and I don't think any angler would be disappointed with them. The IFFEC clothing has a firm place in my ever growing angling wardrobe and it is nice to see that the female angler is catered for as well (which pleased the wife!).
