Ray's Verdict

My first couple of attempts at erecting this bivvy were to say the least hard work, but after I had a few goes it became very simple to get up, I managed it in under 4 minutes, from the bag to ground sheet fitted. this well manufactured shelter after a few minor adjustments is as solid as a rock, which surprised me as you don't use strengthening bars.

The ground sheet is heavy duty and removable, which is a essential for those of you who visit France regularly. After spending a couple of nights in the Quad 2 man I realised that the Outer Skin was essential to prevent condensation from forming, once the Outer Skin was fitted this problem was rectified perfectly.

The ventilation panels fitted front and rear are a god send on those warm, sticky summer night when a slight breeze through a shelter can make the world of difference. This is one big motha of a shelter, you and a mate will have to really carry some kit to fill one of these.

I will definitely be using this shelter for long sessions in the future with the knowledge that it will stand up to the worst wind and rain our lovely climate has to offer, a superb shelter for all seasons.
