Adrian Fautley

I am Adrian Fautley and I have been fishing since I was a child. I started going float fishing with my Dad, and then caught the carp bug after landing my first carp.  I have been fishing on various big pits, rivers and canals ever since. I generally fish the Colne Valley area including Colnbrook West, Farlows, Harefield and Thorney Weir. I still find these lakes challenging even though I have fished them for years because they still have fish in them that I want and haven't caught yet! I have also had many known big fish from other lakes around the country and like to give any lake a go to see what it has to offer. I try to get my rods out as much as possible around my work and home commitments.

I am currently a Nash consultant working in product development and have been with the company for some years. I love being part of the Nash brand and the great team behind it, we can bounce ideas off each other plus I always like to listen to other people's ideas and opinions within the product development. I’m very proud of the fact that in certain circles I’m known as a bit of a rig mechanic as I am always trying different things to catch the fish I have my eye on. I’m a great believer in the fish catching capabilities of the chod rig and more often than not will make this my number one choice unless I am feeling a bit more adventurous on certain waters or an alternative presentation is required.

I have written in many different magazines including features and articles and enjoyed this aspect of the fishing world as it gave me the chance to talk about what I love doing in great detail. Most recently I have joined the UK Carp Angler team and I am delighted to become a member of this well established group of anglers. Keep your eyes open on the site for more information on what I have been up to, plus many tips and trick to help you get more bites from the time you have on the bank.

See you on the bank
