Fenland Fisheries Catch Report For End Of May

The fishing on Willow Lake is still quite slow compared to early season. Derek Ritchie (THE DON) was doing a feature for 4 nights with fishing companion Ray Best. Del managed to bank 5 fish with the best one going 35lb, whilst Ray fished peg 1 & netted 2 fish of 29lb 6oz & 28lb. Joe Defrietus fished peg 13 for 3 nights to catch fish of 30lb exactly 19lb &12lb. Stephen Gallacher had 2 fish of 22lb & 32lb whilst his dad fishing next door in peg 8 banked a cracker at 37lb. Regular visitor Steve Gordon fished 2 nights for 1 fish of 24lb 8oz from peg 19. Aaron Nolans first visit to the lake produced 4 good fish from peg 16 at 20lb, 25lb, 27lb & 29lb. Martin Cockayne has had a bit of a result banking 2 upper thirties neither of which had been on the bank this year. Martin fished peg 20 to net Trigga at 39lb 12oz & another fish of 36lb 6oz. So a bit quiet but with 4 fish over 35lbs and 2 of which over 37lb sport is far from poor.
