Willow Lake, This Mature, 6-acre lake is the jewel in the crown at Fenland Fisheries.

Catch report from the 1st of August to the 12th August 2009.

Willow Lake is still very popular with the maximum 6 Anglers being present most nights. The weekends are sold out until the end of September, but there are still limited spaces available weekday nights. The fishing has been constant with 4 or 5 fish out most nights and a few catfish to 52lb.

Paul Ockendon took mirrors of 16lb 4oz, 17lb 8oz, & 31lb 8oz during a 48 hour stint in peg 6, all taken on marine halibut boilies. Paul returned a week later for another 48 hours taking 6 more carp a 17lb common plus 5 Mirrors to 29lb 6oz again on halibut pellets.

Lee Elliot fished a 48 hour session in peg 1, also taking 6 carp Commons of 17lb & 22lb and Mirrors of 13lb, 18lb, 18.5oz and 29lb 6oz on fish meal boilies.

James Dalton and Tommy Huntley fished a 4 night stint taking 7 carp with the biggest falling to James’ rod a 25lb Mirror and a 28lb 6oz Mirror. All the fish falling to the in house red berry boilie.

Richard Scott & Chris Nixon came in heavy handed during their 48 hour stay, introducing 10kg of fish meal boilie before casting a line. After taking 5 fish in the first night another 7 kilos of bait was introduced, and promptly produced another 4 fish.
The 9 fish ranged from 12lb – 30lb 6oz and were all taken at 50 yd range from pegs 3 & 6.

Other notable catches included Dave Williamson 27lb 4oz Mirror, Beefy 18lb, 22lb and 23lb Mirror, Justin Cross 21 & 26lb Mirror, Shaun Howlett 21lb 8oz Mirror and Alan Barrett 25lb 6oz Common.
