Bag ‘em Matchbaits
Putting The Record Straight!

After hearing the usual winter rumours over the past few months of doom and gloom from numerous members of the angling world. It has now become a seasonal trend that for some unknown reason, it could the be boredom of the long winters nights that the usual unsupported assumptions about this company and that company going bust start to surface. UKMA decided to nip some of these malicious and damaging rumours in the bud by contacting one of the numerous companies that have taken a pounding from the cyber angling world over the past few months. We spoke to Caroline Reed at BAG ‘EM MATCHBAITS one of the many companies that are currently being targeted by the war mongers to give this growing company an opportunity to “Put the record straight”

Here’s what she had to say “Bag'em matchbaits are four years old and 2011 was their best year yet. Bag’em has increased their range of products and has come up with some great innovative new products for 2012. The new 2012 Bag'em product brochure has doubled in size to accommodate all these new ideas. (Look out for the UKMA revues on Bag'ems new 'powders' coming very soon). Our groundbait 'XP' which is made from pure ground expander pellet was our best selling groundbait of the past year with other companies are now trying to copy it. Let’s face it; you know you have something right when the imitations start to appear.

Marketing manager Caroline continued “We have taken on some really promising young anglers recently, including James Dent and Andy Geldart both of whom fish for the prestigious Barnsley Blacks Team. We are hoping that Jamie Hughes, currently lying in second place in the Kamasan Matchman of the Year, will win again which could make it the fourth Kamasan title the Bag'em team has gained. We are holding a Bag'em Team meeting in late February to really drive the marketing of the brand through the sponsored anglers and to take their advice on board as the team have a huge input into our new product development”.

Caroline also informed UKMA that Alex Bones from Match Fishing magazine will also be attending the Bag ‘em team meeting to write a feature on the Northants based bait company that pride themselves on investing their money into the quality of their products as a higher priority over investing it on advertising!
