Steve Ringer Back From Injury!

One of the countries top and most successful match anglers - Steve Ringer is back fishing after recovering from a shoulder operation which kept him from competing in matches for eight weeks. Steve, who hopes to be back to 100% before the spring Whiteacres festivals, needed the operation to repair ligaments in his shoulder. The damage was caused after years of throwing bait into his swim whilst fishing.

Steve said “I’ve always liked to feed quite regularly and had got quite good at throwing bait long distances and accurately with my left hand, I just didn’t realise the damage I was doing. I’m a goalkeeper for a Saturday league football team so I’m sure a few heavy falls have contributed to the injury as well but I’m told that it’s mainly down to fishing”

UKMA wish Steve a speed recovery and a successful return to the competitive circuit.
