The final round of this years highly contested UK Angling Championship takes place at Barston lakes this coming Wednesday ( 14th Sept) with Alfreton, Derby hot shot Jason Le Bosquet going into the final furlong with a 4 point lead over his nearest rivals.
A perfect score on the first three rounds, including a phoenix like performance at Woodland View where he was pegged between Steve Ringer and Darren Cox, makes Jason clear favourite for the event.
“I’m well up for it” announced Jason in readiness for the final round. “The UK Championship title is a life changing result in angling as it put you up there amongst the seriously big players. It’s been a great year so and I just hope that I can finish off the series in the same way that I started them”
All eyes will be on Jason who really is on form, but last years tournament saw a real twist as the two favourites, Darren Cox and Pete Bailey, fell at the final hurdle allowing Midlander Grant Albutt to sneak in and snatch the crown.
The series, which is televised by Sky Sports, will be shown later in the year but for the moment all eyes are on Le Bosquet to see if he can withstand the pressure and take the title.
