Garbolino
Apollo Kit Pod

Garbolino have been one of the rising stars in the world of match tackle and accessories over the past decade. The Brands impressive team of seasoned anglers have put all there combined knowledge into developing products that are practical in there design and extremely functional.

One of the latest additions to the accessory range is the very clever Apollo Kit Pod. This totally originally designed top kit roost is manufactured from a robust plastic tubing that is both light weight and very strong. Inside the stylish storage bag that the Apollo is supplied in, you get the main centre arm, this incorporates Garbolino’s very clever multi fit system that makes it possible to fit the Apollo Kit Pod to any shape or size of box or bait stand leg.

You then have a multi-angle tilt that makes it possible to position the Kit Pod exactly where you need it, allowing you to put your spare top kits and rods close to hand on any type of bank side terrain. There are also four blue, round plastic arms, two of these have 4 open slots machined out to rest and hold sections securely in place and the other two arms have 4 sets of holes drilled with one large for the secure location of rod and top kit butt sections and a smaller whole on the opposite face to house the now very popular ‘Pulla bungs’ that protrude from the bottom of the top sections.

How To Assemble

To assemble the Apollo Kit Pod is a very simple task simply follow these 4 simple stages;

  1. Take the main frame and fit the connector onto your box or side tray leg ensuring that the stainless tension handle is pointing down and lock into position.
  2. Take the two arms with the small and large holes and these push fit into the two lower holes ensuring the biggest whole is pointing away from you and the black end caps are on the visible ends.
  3. Now take the remaining two arms and fit these into the top holes yet again ensuring the black caps are visible ant the retaining grooves are pointing upwards.
  4. Take hold of the stainless steel handle on the underside of the frame, then adjust the angle of the Apollo Kip Pod to your preference and rotate and tension until the centre frame is solid and secure.

Final Thoughts

There are many rig roosts on the market at present but this is the most original I have come across. Light weight easy to assemble and surprisingly very strong. The Apollo Kit Pod is designed to store up to eight top kits with ‘Pulla Bungs’ attached but you can have a mix of rods and top kits if the session requires. UKMA have had a good look at this and used it on many occasions and found that it held our top kits and rods in place securely even in strong winds. Practical and easy to carry, I can see this becoming a seat box accessory that will become common place over the coming months. The Apollo Kit Pod sells for £49.99 full RRP but if you shop around on-line there are some good deals available.
