Nash Tackle
In-Line Flat Square Lead

Essex based carp tackle giants Nash, have already totally re-vamped their lead systems for 2011. By replacing the traditional plastic coating with a new textured coating, this makes it possible for the angler to use natural materials from the lake including clay and silt weed to naturally camouflage his leads and make them blend in perfectly to there surrounding. UKMA have already had a good look at the impressive new TT lead range a few months ago and found them to be one of the best textured coated lead systems currently available. After seeing the now released TT Leads we knew it was only a matter of time before they would add to the range and we were not disappointed by what we have seen.

Nash Tackle have never been known to be a company to rest on their laurels, and with numerous requests from the huge field testing team for a low profile lead suitable for close in stalking situations where lowering a rig in the margin is a must. Alan Blair and the design team at Nash put there heads together and have come up with a blinding solution, the In-line Flat Square Lead. These low profile leads have already found favour amongst some of the angling elite by proving there worth as the perfect lead solution that because of its textured coating can be easily camouflaged to avoid the attention of spooky carp. Even when fishing in the most shallow and clear water conditions you are likely to catch fish in.

The In-line flat square leads are available in two different colours, weed/silt and gravel/clay, which between them will give you a camo option for every lake or river bed you are likely to encounter. Although designed with close in stalking work as there number one duty, The team at UKMA  have had great success when using a 2oz In-line flat square lead in conjunction with the new 1.5m Nash TT Helicopter Leaders. We were targeting big tench on a hard Cambridgeshire venue and caught steadily in a channel 20m out and 14 feet deep and the leads low profile seemed to make a huge difference, as I had a steady run of good fish and my companion for the session struggled for bites with a feeder attached.

Final Thoughts

The Nash Tackle In-line Flat Square Leads have some thing to offer every angler who fishes, no matter what type of venue with leads available in 1.1oz, 1.5oz, 2.0oz, 2.5oz, 3.0oz, 4.0oz and 6.0oz. UKMA recommend the 1.1oz 1.5 and 2oz for the match anglers who fish commercial waters and want a lead that is low profile and discrete. The specialist anglers will find these low profile leads an asset in margins on both river and lakes with the barbel and chub crowds definitely going to find the 4 and 6oz options perfect for close in flood water work. Last but not least the carp angler who these clever leads were originally designed for will find a use for all sizes available. UKMA highly recommend you have a look at this well designed leads and definitely give them a try.
