Production is carried out in small carefully controlled batches to ensure accuracy of diameter and consistent quality control. Power Silk is stronger for its diameter than any other match line. Power Silk is the softest, best presenting hook length there is. Three additional softening processes plus a fluorocarbon coating make Power Silk the softest line there is. Having a fluorocarbon coating, Power Silk maintains its knot strength at maximum no matter how long it is in use, a critical bonus, particularly when you want to fish as thin as possible using very fine hook lengths.

First Impressions

I have used many rig lines over the years that claim they are exceptionally supple, that they have great knot strength, short of save mankind they claimed the lot but way too many lines falling short of the mark. We wanted a rig line that kept its promises and stood up to its claims and the Ultimate Power Line most definitely did that. The Ultima website claimed it was stronger per diameter than any other match line held true under the basic breaking strain tests we carried out, showing on average a 10% higher breaking strain to diameter than three other top brand name rig lines we tested along side. The Power Silk is also super soft and very supple as claimed by Ultima, making it one hell of an all round rig line.
The Ultima Power Silk is a product that has made the effort to turn up to work and do its job correctly.
