CHUB
Eazi-Flow
Safety Weigh Sling

Over the past couple of months, a few of the UKMA team have been having a look at some of the better quality weighing sling currently available on the UK market. With fish welfare being a critical part of today’s carp and specialist angling. Finding a sling that offers sound protection to the fish whilst out of the water as well as a calming environment for the fish to be rested in whilst preparing for your mandatory trophy shots can sometimes leave one or two of us scratching our heads.

Vital Statistics

Width – 48.4 in / 123cm
Depth – 24.8in / 63cm
Price - £37.99 RRP

One of the stand out products we came across was the Eazi-Flow® Safety Weigh Sling from North East tackle giants CHUB. This amply spacious sling is large enough to accommodate the biggest of fish swimming in UK waters including catfish in access of 40lbs. (we know because we’ve done it) To take the weight there are two anodised aero grade aluminium poles which are designed to break down and fold at the centre for ease of carriage.

The sling gets its name from the Eazi-Flow meshed panels on the sides and base of the sling. These allow water to enter the sling and encapsulate the fish, making it suitable for resting fish in the water. Plus the Eazi-flow panels allow quick drainage and ensure accurate weight reading of your capture every time. To ensure that the fish is retained in the sling when being moved around, you have a baffled zip at either end just to make the returning of the fish to the water is a safe affair.

Final Thoughts

After using the sling for several sessions now we are pleased to say that the CHUB Eazi-Flow® Safety Weigh Sling is more than capable of performing the tasks it is designed to perform. UKMA have found it to be very simply to assemble the support bars which are strong enough handle big fish comfortably. The zips at each end of the sling can be zipped up very easily even with one hand whilst calming the fish in the sling, which is a very nice touch.

The sling also has two cords so you can attach it to a bank stick to allow your fish to recover whilst you get the scales camera etc ready for the trophy shots. My only complaint about the sling is as easy as it is to put the aluminium poles together it’s not the easiest to take apart but after a few sessions it does loosen off slightly. All in all the CHUB Eazi-Flow® Safety Weigh Sling is a very good bit of kit and I would recommend having it in your bag
