Go System Keramos Cookware Set
Over the years I have been struggling to find the right type of cookware set to suit me for my fishing escapades. Whilst trying to find a set that’s big enough for my use, yet small enough to store in my bag. Plus a set that has folding handles and a nice non-stick coating. But finding a company that can put all of this together was nigh on impossible, or at least I couldn’t find them!
The critical component of any good pan set would be the non-stick coating factor, simply because one of the worst things is having your food sticking and burning to the pans in my opinion. For this reason I always opted for a standard kitchen pan that was great for cooking with, but a hassle to try and store in my bag because of the huge handles. That is until now…
I found myself getting a little excited when I was told there were some new pans sitting in the UKMA office waiting to be used and abused. The Go System Keramos 3-pan set is in my opinion the ultimate cooking set for the modern day carper; this is what you get for your money;
- 18cm diameter frying pan
- 1.3 litre saucepan
- 1.6 litre saucepan
- 1 x aluminium gripper (detachable handle)
- 1 x mesh bag (for storage)
The set boasts the fact that these are the most eco friendly pans available, with a unique non-stick coating they call X-Pride ™, which is created from a natural stone and uses no PFOA or PTFE plastic coatings, giving a super tough, easy to clean pan. For those of you that want to go further into the details of this major revolution, Go System state that: ‘X-Pride™ uses less than half the energy and produces less than half of Co2 during coating. It is super resilient to scratches and eco safe with no toxic fumes even at temperatures above 450 deg C.’
The pans themselves have no handle attached, but the system comes with the aluminium gripper which is used on all the pans as a temporary handle, which is a super idea as far as storage goes as they all fit inside each other and to make things even better, they can be transported in a little mesh bag that can be tucked away neatly into your bag.
Final Thoughts
During testing, not once did I use any oil for cooking meats, and yet the food cooked as per usual with no sticking or burning to be found. Afterwards I also found it took minimal fuss to clean, with a little bit of water and back on the stove for a minute or two, the pan was then wiped clean with a simple piece of kitchen cloth. So if you’re in need of a new set for your carping / camping adventures, then UKMA highly recommend you take a look at the Keramos 3-pan set pans from Go Systems, you won’t be disappointed, especially when you find out that the complete set will only cost you £39.99.
