Trakker First Aid KitRRP £9.99
With the development of high impact rods for long range casting, ever decreasing line and braid diameters, ultra sharp hooks and with the majority of serious carp and specialist angler spending more time in trees than most leaves. The potential for cuts and other injuries is greater now for the angler than ever before. To help in these emergencies, Trakker have added a First Aid Kit to their ever growing and exceptional accessory range. This compact kit is housed in a 600 denier polyester pouch that has a three quarter zipped entrance and is 14cm high by 9cm wide and 4.5cm deep fully loaded. On the internal walls of the pouch you have two elasticated fastenings that hold the scissors and plastic tweezers securely in place, on the opposite side is an elasticated mesh pouch to keep all the dressings, wipes and plasters nice and tidy.

First ImpressionsThis compact adequately equipped First Aid Kit from Trakker is a must for any angler who spends time out on the bank on their own in rural out of the way areas. There are the basics you will require to stop most cuts bleeding and keep the wounds clean, which will prevent infection. We spoke to St Johns ambulance training instructor who told us; “this is a very good starter kit that will cover most situations whilst you are out and about in rural environments. To make it just that little bit more practical I would add some Saline solution which is basically a salt water solution for cleaning wounds, removing debris from eyes etc and burn dressings, these are both readily available from any good chemist” WARNING Just because you have a First Aid Kit doesn’t instantly make you Florence Nightingale. If the situation arises where somebody near you needs medical assistance for what could potentially be a serious injury. Unless you are fully trained or an experienced First Aider, then use the best form of first aid there is, your mobile phone and call the emergency services and get professional help rather than risk causing more damage than good.
