Quest Baits Ghurkka Spice

Just arrived in the UKMA office are the latest boilie offering from Nottinghamshire based bait company Quest Baits. We spoke to company MD Shaun Harrison who told us “We have spent a long period of time field testing the Ghurkka Spice to get the flavour balance spot on and the first reports from anglers on the bank using the bait have been are very positive indeed”. These aromatic baits are due to reach the shops by mid March and if your looking for something different or like baits with a savoury kick the Ghurkka Spice will definitely rock your boat.

These Amber coloured boilies release a pleasant creamy curry aroma that instantly reminded me of mild madras. Not over powering like some curried flavoured baits, but subtle yet noticeable, which is far more favourable to catching fish than the more in your face flavourings that are currently being used by other manufacturers, and most importantly, they taste fantastic.

The Ghurkha Spice will be available in the10mm (Shelf life only) 15mm and 20mm sizes, in both shelf life and freezer baits. There will also be a range of Pop Ups in all sizes, a Ghurkha Spice feed pellet ands glug to make up the standard bait selection that is common place in all of the Quest Bait flavours. Expect to pay around £10.99 per kg but if you buy online bulk deals are also available.

Final Thoughts

Over the next couple of months the UKMA team will be putting the Ghurkka Spice through its paces to see exactly what it can do. We are going to target a venue that has plenty of fish to see how the Ghurkka Spice performs along side already established baits on this particulary hard but rewarding venue. Watch this space over the next couple of months to see how we get on.
