Starfish Baits Big Carp Method Mix (3kg)

I recently took a sneaky peek at another of the Starfish Baits stable for UKMA (Starfish Super Aroma Halibut Mix) and was suitably impressed; this is a product which shows the same consistency and quality.

Supplied in session busting 3kg bag, the Big Carp Method Mix is a heavy mix designed to stay exactly where it should; around the feeder! The ground bait is fairly coarse with a few bigger ‘bits’ in for the carp to really get into, smells great and certainly mixes very well. I added enough liquid to form a really good stiff mix which I was able to cast with ease to around 70 yards without any in flight break up, or loss of feed on impact with the surface of the water. I even retrieved my feeder after 20 minutes to find a good amount still firmly stuck to it!

Although marketed as a carp bait, it also seems to attract plenty of other interest too;- my indicators danced merrily as a succession of roach and quality bream tried to dislodge it and get to my hook baits. It does withstand the attentions of smaller fish for a reasonable amount of time, and the activity around the feeder is guaranteed to attract something bigger, so on a commercial water where F1’s or smaller carp are the target for a match winning bag, then this will do the job perfectly. I would also be confident that a methodical approach and correct placement would see plenty of ‘proper’ carp hit the mat as part of a concerted campaign.
