Dynamite Baits Specialist News

Dynamite Baits have provided UKMA with some of their latest news from the company backed anglers.

Frozen River Cam Chub Double

The thick snow prior to Christmas didn’t stop Dynamite’s Matt Rand from taking a friend and his 11-year old son fishing on the River Cam and they were rewarded with a couple of bites, despite the majority of the river being frozen solid.

Young Ben tempted two immaculate chub to just under 4lb by legering a thin sliver of steak beneath a small cage feeder filled with minced meat.

To enhance the pulling power of his steak hookbait, Ben dipped his hookbait into Dynamite Baits’ Blood Red Predator Attractant.

Adrian Eves Equals His PB

Bites can be tricky to come by at this time of year but one fish that will still feed even in the coldest of conditions is the grayling which is why Adrian Eves has spent a lot of time targeting them over the last few weeks. Just days ago he equalled his PB with this fish of 3lb 1oz.

The stunning specimen fell for a grain of Dynamite’s Frenzied Strawberry Sweetcorn and was just part of a bumper haul:
“The big fish came on the very first cast of the day and fell to Strawberry Frenzied Sweetcorn once again – I think it’s the colour that they are attracted to!

“It went on to be a fantastic days fishing with two fish of 1lb 15oz plus five more over 2lbs to 2lb 10oz, some of these came on maggots flavoured with XL Pineapple Liquid Attractant,” explained Adrian. All fish fell to float tactics.

Paul Elt Banks A 5lb Plus River Chub

Dynamite’s Paul Elt has managed to get out despite the cold conditions and he was rewarded with this chub of just over 5lb.

With the fishing hard, Paul reverted to his favourite method of trotting a stick float to tempt the fish with maggots flavoured with Red Fish Liquid Attractant proving the best bait.

“I’d had several takes and lost them all as the rod rings kept freezing up. After that I left the swim to rest for an hour and then baited it for a further 30 minutes with a regular pinch of maggots. When I put a float through it buried pretty much instantly and I managed to get this one out,” explained Paul.

Paul fished with a 14ft Drennan Match Pro float rod, 4.4lb mainline, a 3lb hooklength and a size 16 Drennan Red Maggot hook.
