With carp and specialist approaches now dominating today’s angling, the need for a classic continental seat box has now passed for many anglers. In its place, a demand has grown for a more comfortable seating system that is easy to carry, versatile and comfortable. With numerous chairs all ready on the market it had become obvious that to compete in this market you have to offer the angler something totally unique. This eventually led to the release of chairs that like your old seat boxes could be fitted with accessories to make angling more relaxing by transforming your chair into a complete fishing station. Vital Statistics

This tidy little bundle offers the commercial fishery day ticket, roving specialist, carp and predator angler the complete fishing station for a one rod set up. The chair has a StarGrip 360 nylon fitting on each leg as standard. This makes it possible to attach any type of Middy chair or seat box accessory to the chairs legs and set them at any angle required to suit your angling needs. As standard you get a telescopic front feeder arm, a back support arm, and two adjustable rests for the front and back supports plus an amply sized side tray and two bait boxes. To assist in achieving ultimate comfort whilst using the chair you have full leg adjustment on all legs which is solid and when adjusted very secure and you have a wheel locking system which enables the back of the chair to be set into the correct angle to offer a comfortable, supportive sitting position.

Final Thoughts

Middy Tackle has come up trumps with an all purpose fishing station that is practical, comfortable and most importantly very affordable. As I’m far from being classified as being undernourished, strength of product can and has been a major issue with some chairs on the market I have tested but the Robo Chair – Full Monty Combo was more than strong enough to handle my 100kg plus frame. The locking systems on the chairs legs are very secure and the back support adjustment was precise and easy to use. If I was to pick fault and it would only be minor, it would be that anti-mark locking nuts should be fitted throughout to prevent scoring of the powder coated accessory arms. Apart from that one little issue, the Robo Chair sells for around the £125.00 and is ideal for anglers who want comfort and practicality all in one tidy bundle.
