GoSystem CookSet Cookware
CookSet 2 RRP £26.99 - CookSet 3 RRP £32.99
I have become a devoted fan of lightweight compact stoves and cooking equipment over the past year or so. With numerous manufacturers producing cookware ranges that all do the job exceptionally well. Finding the one to best cover your personal need is a task in its self. After entertaining many top named cookware ranges and finding many of them to be of a very poor standard for the price. My goal was to find you and myself a cookware system that ticked all the boxes. The product had to be extremely lightweight, easy to keep clean, compact, plus easy to store and carry.
One range that has rung my bell over the past year or so is the GoSystems CookSets. These lightweight hard anodised aluminium pans have a Teflon coating which makes them totally non-stick and very easy to keep clean.
Each of the pans has a grooved base which vastly improves stability and helps minimise slippage or rotation of the pan on the serrated supports on the stove when stirring.
All pans have been clearly marked with an internal volume guides to enable accurate measuring of fluids for things like pasta, rice, vegetables etc.
There are two cookware sets in the range; firstly you have the CookSet 2 which incorporates a 0.8litre frying pan, a 1.2 litre pan and a 1.6litre pan, with a universal pot lifter and a tidy pull string carry bag to finish the bundle off.
The CookSet stacks into itself creating a very compact storage unit that will comfortably house a folded up Go System or Primus stove inside the 1.2 litre pot.
Another feature that can save cooking times and most importantly gas is the use of the frying pan as a lid for the 1.2 litre pan, this greatly reduces heat loss and will speeds up cooking times.
Next you have the CookSet 3; it is
identical to the CookSet 2 with the addition of a 1.8litre pan, making it more suited to the long session angler or an angler like me who ends up cooking for everyone.
As we mentioned earlier, not only can the frying pan be used as a lid for the smaller pans but also consider using it on top of the 1.2litre pan when you are boiling liquids in this pan, the heat generated will heat food like soup, beans and macaroni cheese in no time, yet again saving you money on gas and reducing food preparation times.
Final Thoughts
To be totally honest I have been using the GoSystem original CookSet for well over a year now and I have found it a joy to cook with.
The frying pan will hold eight regular sized sausages comfortably or two rashers of bacon and a fried egg, not that I eat fried food. The 1.2litre pan can easily hold enough water or milk to prepare most packet pasta meals with plenty of room in the pan for stirring without spillage.
I have found the GoSystem CookSet very easy to keep clean and they have lasted the test of time exceptionally well.
All GoSystem Cookware comes complete with a 3 year manufacturers warranty giving you piece of mind that if the miracle of miracles should happen and they do break, obviously through normal wear and tear, they will be replaced by the manufacturer or the original point of purchase.
