First Look

Lee Taylor (Greys / Bag'Em Match Baits) has so far introduced us to the Greys Prodigy Rig Accessories in Part 1 and Part 2 . In this First Look, he takes us through the Greys Prodigy Klip Lok Tackle Base Unit . Everything that has been written about in Parts 1 and 2 also links in with the Prodigy Klip Lok Tackle Base unit. These are simple and effective ideas made out of the best materials available to the modern day angler!

The modular Klip-Lok® Tackle Base is a Superb design in small compact tackle boxes . You will first notice the quality of the box and that it does not feel or look cheap. Good solid materials have been used to ensure the Prodigy tackle box does not let  you down .
Like the Greys Klip Lok Bait tubs it has a secure soft rubber seal  which sits on the inside of the lid so when the tackle box is closed it has the tightest seal possible fastened by the Klip Lok klips

The Tackle Box its self goes into the form of two layers. The top half  of the Tackle base unit , boast a selection of dividing slots , which can change to the size of the area you need to suit your requirements of where you want to place your terminal tackle. This also takes the Greys Klip Lok base Boxes in small and medium sizes , for Items such as tail rubbers , swivels , bait anchors ect. There is a larger section down the middle of the Tackle base unit where you can have your Greys Prodigy Rig Board to store all your Pre-tied hooklengths.

The Prodigy Rig Board will Store all your pre-tied Hooklengths and houses them so they are secure and tangle free  It  has a Unique durable anchoring system, comprising special colour coded Tension Pegs that lock hook lengths (or rigs) exactly where you want them, ensuring that you have more consistancey  when tying your hook lengths and that they are the correct length every time.  Double hook retaining bars at either end, combined with soft rubber line protection channels, allow more versatile storage of short, medium or long rigs. This board has the ability to house considerably more rigs, which reduces the amount of gear you need to carry. Two small  side drawers set in its body are ideal for storing essential small items, while the board is also modular and fits perfectly into custom recesses in Prodigy Klip-Lok® Tackle Base boxes.The Prodigy Rig Board is also supplied with a neat clip together protective cover and additional Tension Pegs can be purchased separately in packs of 30.

The second layer is a draw unit which works on each side of the tackle base unit. Again this gives the angler opportunities to work the Tackle base unit  to his needs. The drawers are kept shut by two unique locking buttons which will ensure your items will stay safe.
The lid boasts useful rulers on both sides , for measuring your hook lengths correctly first time without having the need to second guess. This will give the angler more consistency in his set-ups and hopefully more fish in the net!!
