Bait Boxes are one of those bits of kit we all use virtually every week, but never really take any notice of. As long as the lids don’t come off and they prevent the bait from spilling out all over the car they are doing there job. However, a new generation of anglers who uses baits that are prepared in advance to save time on the bank, now needs to store these baits in air tight, watertight containers. With the conventional bait box becoming unsuitable, the modern angler has started to look outside the tackle shop and head to the local supermarkets for storage solutions.

A new bait storage system was now in greater demand than ever before to aid the transportation of these pre-prepared baits. With the likes of flavoured luncheon meat, sweet corn, cooked hemp and expander pellets all needing to be stored correctly and kept in perfect condition. The Klip-Lok bait box is a hexagonal shaped, extremely robust container that is manufactured from a dark green injection moulded polypropylene, that creates a human grade, high quality storage system that would look just at home in the kitchen fridge as it does in your bait fridge. The Klip-Lok bait box is available in three standard sizes which are 1.4 pint, 2.4 pint and 3.4 pint capacities, which should give enough options and be versatile enough to cover the storage of any quantities of bait you are likely to need during a session.

There are two lid options with the Klip-Lok bait box. The first option is a perforated lid that has tapered air holes which virtually eliminate the old age problem of maize flour and sawdust blockages. This lid is purposely designed for the storage of live baits including maggots, pinkies and worms. The second option is the Flip-Top style lid that has no perforations but features a secondary square hinged inner lid. This can be used to prevent baits like meat, corn and expander pellets from drying out. This inner lid makes this lid option perfect for making and storing floating maggot.

The one major stand out feature of the Klip-Lok bait box has to be the unique Safe-Seal rubberised gasket around the lid rims. The introduction of this gasket not only assists in creating a very tight fit of the lid, it also eliminates the potential escape of small live baits like squatts and pinkies, even in the wettest of conditions. This air tight seal is achieved by the easy fasten and release Klip-Lok system that clamps the lid down on all four sides making the Klip-Lok bait box virtually water tight making the transportation of soaked baits possible with out the fear of any spillage.
