Snooze-Lite Sleeping Bag

There is nothing worse than fishing on a hot summer night, getting into your sleeping bag as the night chill drifts of the lake, to wake up every hour because your 5 season sleeping bag is way too hot and uncomfortable. Even laying on top of your sleeping bag and using a bedchair cover to keep you protected from night time mists and those most annoying nocturnal mozzy’s can even be over the top on some nights. Add to this the annoying fact that virtually no bedchair can be packed away with the sleeping bag still attached and you have two issues that needed sorting out.

Taking these common issues and complaints on board, Dave Mills and the Team at Trakker Products has developed a brand new sleeping bag called the Snooze-Lite. This new sleeping bag has been designed for the summer angler who is looking for a sleeping bag that will offer complete comfortable and protected from the elements. The Snooze-Lite features a soft polyester inner that makes this sleeping bag very lightweight and give the user just the right amount of protection even during the muggiest and most humid conditions that we fish in.

The Snooze-Lite is attached to your bedchair by two elasticated pouches on the top and bottom of the bag and we found it fitted a standard bedchair with room too spare. We also tried The Snooze-Late for size on a couple of the wide boy sized bedchairs and it fitted but quite snug. When fitted standard bed chairs there is a toggled pull string that enables you to tension the head end of the sleeping bag and this gives just enough taught to guarantee the bag stays in place securely. For ease of access you have a quick release zip on either side with webbing to prevent snagging when you’re responding to an early morning take.

Top Feature - The Trakker Snooze-Lite is the only sleeping bag I have personally used that can be left on the bedchair when folded down, making it ideal for the angler who likes to be on the move and travel light. UKMA fitted the Snooze-Lite with the Trakker Thermal Bedchair Cover and were still able to fold the bed down without having to use force to secure the locking wheels.

Final Thoughts

Trakker Products have filled a very large gap in the market place with the release of the Snooze-Lite Sleeping bag. It can be folded easily in to a bedchair or packs away very neatly into a small 200mm by 451mm compression sack for easy storage and transportation. The light weight breathable materials used in manufacture have produced a sleeping bag that can be used from mid spring until mid autumn with total confidence. If you use a Thermal Bedchair Cover the die hard brolly boys out there will get all year round useage but if like me you’re not a die hard I would stick to using it during the warmer months.
