Over the years, predator anglers have learned that braided reel lines are far better suited to their genre of angling that standard mono reel lines. The instant contact and near zero stretch that this low diameter braided reel lines offer, have made them the choice of the majority of anglers who fish both lures and baited rigs. Read on as the UKSA team take a first look at the Piker Braided Reel Line from Oxfordshire based E-Sox.
This tough and durable braided reel line option offers reliably high knot strength, making it ideal for all lure fishing, live baiting and deadbaiting applications. The E-Sox Piker Braided Reel Line has a natural dull green colouring, making it blend into all natural aquatic environments. This woven braided reel line features a tight round section and is not inclined to loosen up or fluff up as many cheaper options are renowned for. It floating properties makes it well suited to drifter fishing but will also cut through the water easily whilst ledgering a dead bait on the deck. Like all Dyneema-based braids, they tends to lose colour whilst in use but this doesn’t affect the performance of the braid in any way.
Top Tip – To increase the useful life of this far from cheap reel line, The UKSA team recommend reversing it onto a spare spool after prolonged use. This effectively brings new, unused braid to the top and buries the material which has had the most wear to the bottom of the spool.
This supple and exceptionally strong braided reel line option has everything that you’d expect from a good quality braided reel line, including good knotting strength, a rounded profile and low diameter. It is available in two spool capacities, 125m spools are available in 35lb (15.9kg) 45lb (20.4kg) 60lb (27.2kg) 75lb (34.0kg) adn these sell for £!5.95.
