First Impressions

Winter is now well and truly on its way and for many anglers it is the most exciting season in the angling calendar as this is when the pike are feeding and its time to get your kit sorted for another Predator campaign. This is also the time of year when many of you will be looking at your kit and deciding on weather or not to treat yourself to new equipment. Although we use them every time we go fishing, we very rarely consider the working condition of our pike alarms. Yes you may check the batteries and blow of the dust and cobwebs that have accumulated since the last time you used them but when was the last time you checked all the functions to establish if they needed replacing or not? I bet it was a long time ago? you’d better have a look.

Just in case you have decided to check your alarms for fault and found them to be on there way out, here is the first look at the new and improved and undated version of the original Ultimate Backbiter pike alarm from Kent based E.T Predator tackle. The MK2 is the improved versions of the top selling MK1 that now incorporate a vast array of improved features. These include forward and ’drop back’ indication, an adjustable ’stainless steel’ line clip that is suitable for braided and mono lines, an adjustable Hi-Visibility counter-weight, a detachable indicator arm, for easy storage and safe transportation, Loud siren with adjustable volume control, a Positive on/off switch and all the power and circuitry is encased in a sold Waterproof housing.

First Impressions

When having a play with the Ultimate Backbiter MK2, one of the first features to really catch our eyes out of the multitude on display was the inclusion of a threaded, removable rigid swing arm. This enables you to remove the arm whilst in transit eliminating any possible breakages, which is a problem that many of us have had to deal with over the years when using standard models with fixed swing arms. All the features seem to serve a useful purpose and are in place to improve the performance of this compact predator indicator.

Foot Note – These are now available from all E.T Predator Tackle retailers for an introductory Price of £39.99.
